JET 99 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 adding a stroker will change port timing???????????????????????????????? Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 to do a storker you need the following... stroker crank jugs reported for a stroker (the port timings change and have to be reported to accomidate for the stroker) you need to have the domes cut for a stroker you need either 795 series pistons or blaster pistons depending on what size bore you go with... all the gaskets and seals be smart to rebuild the clucth at the same time. reeds for more throttle respones.. depending what size motor you build 33pwk-35pwk carbs new pipes for your style riding.. and theres still more in ad outs that youll want to get along the way but you dont have to have... FasterThanU90 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 save sum money and get a stock stroke hotrods and sum higher comp. domes that would make sum awesome power save alot of down time also Quote
sheefreak Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 You can run a spacer plate if you want to go cheap. Then you won't have to worry about cutting domes or having your cyls. re-ported. Otherwise, just as Banshe-man put it. If you are going w/a Hot Rods crank, get one from a builder that is already welded, and tz and or Max load bearings already swapped out. It will be cheaper than buying a crank from say a magazine vendor, and sending it off to pay and have the work done. Hot rods cranks are known to be a little shaky in stock form when you start to put the power and compression to them so these mods in my mind are a MUST! Quote
