Infamous039 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 (edited) Please dont bring those KFX 700's or Raptor 660 into this conversation, b/c I have smoked everyone of those I have raced on my Banshee. I even gave the KFX 700 a head start, I caught him then looked back at him as I passed by laughing. Those quads are big in size, but slow in speed. No offense bro (TheFastestShee) but those KFX 700's can not hang with a banshee in a race, I know b/c I have raced about 3 or 4 of them and smoked them all by a lot. Those bikes are reliable I agree, but if you looking for quickness and speed then I wouldnt buy one of those. Also you shouldnt have to take your Banshee to the Yamaha Dealer to get you filter cleaned, you should do that yourself its extremely easy, you have to learn to work on your bike yourself to save money for extra mods. ohiobanshee Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Putting a 740 bbk in my 01 raptor, might make it a little faster. :yelrotflmao: My ported 4mil stock cylinder will be done by january, cant wait to see how fast it is now. :woot: Quote
scooter Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 i like my banshee funnest quad ive ever had and ive had a lot . to say the 700 raptor is junk is just fucked up there pretty fast stock ive raced some and my shee aint the fastest one on the planet for sure but it does pretty good . i dont know why you would want to bag on them with mods im sure they will be real fast. its all about havin fun sure its fun to work on the shee thats what its all about but i cant see baggin on a 700 i would have one anytime Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 a race is 80% rider 20% motor and mods... just becasue you beat some kids with a raptor or yfz piped dosent mean your bike will hands down beat every piped 4 stroke out there... get someone that can really ride those thumper and your race will be much closer... stock for stock a 4 stroke will eat a banshee up a hill... just the way the ball rolls, but once you start to mod the 2 a banshee will get twice the gain from the same mods... not to mention when you port a banshee your going to gain 15-20 hp if you got a good builder doing your porting... a thumper 5-10 if your lucky... BigRed350x Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 (edited) i hate people with stock craptors and yfz's talk alot of crap. What also is annoying is people who cant work on their own shit. too me working on my banshee is part of the fun LOL Stock YFZ's are no joke. Don't be upset because a stock-ish bike is finially up to par with the modded ones from a few years back. I've upset quite a few banshee owners out at the dunes with my YFZ. My YFZ runs damn skippy and I have spanked quite a few different bikes with it. Lots of fun. Edited November 29, 2006 by BigRed350x Quote
owmyeye Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 I love four strokes. . they're good to warm up against Quote
BigRed350x Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 My stock banshee did alright against theshee's KFX700. I would say we were about even on the dirt roads and on pavement it all came down to whoever got out of the hole the best. Other than that a stock banshee and his KFX700 with whatever he had done were about even. Put some mods on the banshee and its another story though. Quote
BigRed350x Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Speaking of working on your own stuff... here's some pictures from theshee's house this past saturday. Those cases look familiar for some reason. Quote
Infamous039 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 I like some 4stroke quads like the Suzuki 450 and the YFZ 450 but there is still nothing like a Banshee is by far the best. Also I have never been beat by a KFX 700 those bikes are slow to me. Quote
r/atvshee Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 i gotta say i like 4 strokes, as a matter of fact we might be getting one soon. but i just hate it when people act tough but dont know a thing about there quad except to push the start button Quote
BigRed350x Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 I will be honest, I know I talk a lot of smack about my 450. But I'm not afraid to line up with people to prove it. Even if I know I will get beat I will still line up with someone. I race for fun. But yeah... when you know you are faster than someone its def. ok to talk smack. LOL But when you THINK you are faster its just gay to talk smack. I always tell tell those people to shut their mouth or line up and race. If you win, you can talk all the smack you want, but if you lose, you are filling my gas tank and washing my ride for me having to put up with the shit-talk that couldn't be backed up. Quote
r/atvshee Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 lol yea i race for fun and i dont get very competitive about it. I dont know if you saw the results from the westcoast shoot out on planetsand. But my friend (clown racing) won the 4 stroke unlimited class, and whats amazing is that the yfz was on knobbies and there is no motor work done to it. and about 2 weekends ago i saw it almost beat a drag shee, it was amazing and i was like WTF  Quote
theshee Posted November 30, 2006 Author Report Posted November 30, 2006 Thats how I am, I race for fun. You can ask bigred, he has sandblasted me a million times and I keep lining up... i dont care if I lose, its just fun to race, win or lose. Quote
