if you have one of these ( i do and it kicks ass!!! )

you might be able to stick it in the intake side and look into the bottom of the engine to see if the pins on the crank are welded. you may be able to use a small mirror and a flashlight? never realy tried to check for a welded crank... usualy you just split the cases and find it....
