toast Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Ok so here is the story. Bought a 1999 banshee. Had to get the clutch replaced(knew this when we got the bike.) Next I've taken it to the desert(Coyote lake, Ca) and anyhow the bike has been overheatins via air getting into the radiator and causing it to boil over and shoot out of the overflow. Well went through the radiator and see that it had a crack, no biggie replaced the radiator but now this is the problem. It is still doing it and this time there is no crack. All hoses are on tight, water pump seems to be working good. So what should I be looking at next? I just need to get this up and running before next trip to glamis. Any suggestions? Quote
Bandit Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 did you inspect your water pump impeller? If it still has the stock plastic one, they do have a problem with them failing. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 spend 50 bucks get your self a high flow billet impeller and run distilled water with some redlines water wetter... should solve your problem.. Quote
