Fre530d Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 I am interested in the speedometer. Will the hour meter, rpm meter work with a Banshee? Are the instructions general or special made for a Banshee? Can you pls explain how it can be mounted? WFG Fred Quote
ESNewman Posted November 21, 2006 Author Report Posted November 21, 2006 (edited) Is the Speedo better than the Vapor? Alan Alan, We like to think so. It's larger, easier to read, and has all the same functions as far as I know. From what i've been told by other Vapor users, it's more useable than the TrailTech due to it's larger display. I am interested in the speedometer. Will the hour meter, rpm meter work with a Banshee? Are the instructions general or special made for a Banshee? Can you pls explain how it can be mounted? WFG Fred The hour meter and RPM meter are both compatible with the Banshee. The RPM meter works off the spark plug wire or taps into a CDI wire. The instructions we have as of right now are general, but we will have Banshee specific instructions soon. We have been slowly but surely getting all the popular and well selling quads into the shop and doing model specific instructions. As of this moment we have 2 different mounts, 1 is a single post mount (as pictured) and one is a dual post mount. The dual post is very universal, and has worked on all MX bikes as well as all the ATV's we have seen thus far. We should be getting a banshee in within the next few weeks to do some instructions on. Any other questions or concerns? I will be more than happy to answer them. I will check in periodically. Thanks! Edited November 21, 2006 by ESNewman Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Overpriced for a CDI. the single csi maybe... not the 8 curve one... with the multi curve can t be re-programmed? Quote
Banshee_LE Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 I am interested in the speedometer too. The only thing I ride in winter too and it can get minus 40 with the wind factor, could there be any problems runing the speedometer in that kind of temperature? Quote

I'd be interested in a stator, if the price was like 120-130 or so. Quote
ESNewman Posted December 4, 2006 Author Report Posted December 4, 2006 the single csi maybe... not the 8 curve one... with the multi curve can t be re-programmed? No. It's 8 set curves, you basically switch between them to get the best performance out of your bike. So far we have had pretty good success with them, it's just a matter of figuring out which curve is best for the particular mods you have done to your bike. I am interested in the speedometer too. The only thing I ride in winter too and it can get minus 40 with the wind factor, could there be any problems runing the speedometer in that kind of temperature? The temperatures shouldn't be a problem. The unit is completely sealed, 100% waterproof, I can't say 100% for sure, but then again i've never heard of anyone riding in temps like that! Damn, at minus 40 wouldnt you freeze to death? I'd be interested in a stator, if the price was like 120-130 or so. We could probably work something out for the stator. Quote
