Way too big of a main jet, and way too big of a pilot jet. Your probably running the wrong needle also. These setups run 75% of the time off the needle, so usually thats the main problem when they run bad.

Give me a list of engine mods, elevation, etc....... I can give you the jet specs. I also need to know what needle is in the carb, and dont tell me its the stock one.

I have the toomey T-6 exhaust, proflow intake with foam filter, no porting, no air box lid I am using the DGK needle. Elevation is 2000 feet.

i have a motofast 2-1 carb setup on mine and i like it its a little laggy on the bottom but once it opens up its gone... i thought about going back to the twin carb setup but dont know all the parts i need.... (carb setup came with the bike)

Is the bike hesitant, or is it burbling?

Neither, it runs very well the problem is I live in LAs Vegas and the elevation is around 2200 feet, I mostly ride at Dumont which the elevation is around 600 feet and i'm maxed out on jets at 2200 feet. I think something must be wrong with the top end, i've tried everything I could think of and have never had a problem jetting a bike before this one. I am going to do a leak down test and compression test. Do you know what the compression should be on a stock motor with no head mods or porting?

This makes no sense to me? It runs great, but its not jetted right?

So the main jet you have in it, is 5 sizes bigger than what I run in a dune port 4 mill at sea level. I think you got too big of a main jet in it, and definitely too big of a pilot jet. Did you set the float height? I usually run eek and eej needles in them also.

Yeah it runs great at Coral Pink Sand dunes with a 220 main in it, but thats something like 4500 feet or something. So when I take it to Dumont which is like 600 feet there are no more jets to richen it up. I've drilled some jets out and can't get the plugs to get black, which tells me when I go to 600 feet its going to be running lean. Do you think there could be something wrong with the engine, like low compression and the oil and fuel is blowing by the rings. I have not had a chance to do a compression check or leak down test yet. Any ideas what the comprssion should be?

whats the temperture differance bettween dumont and coral pink. is it colder at coral pink and if so how much.

The temperature is close to the same, I go to Coral Pink in the summer and Dumont in the winter, so the only major difference is the 5400 feet of elevation.
