nicktoney Posted November 2, 2006 Author Report Posted November 2, 2006 it is all being done at one time... thats why im so excited... can i have the domes i have now recut for the new mill? Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 yea they can be recut, all they do is cut them 2mm deeper to make up of the 2 mm that the pistons didnt get. Quote
nicktoney Posted November 3, 2006 Author Report Posted November 3, 2006 comeon guys, i know ALOT of you switched from a stock stroke, short rod motor to a stroked long rod. what kind of hp gain could i see? Quote
dajogejr Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 You'll get a couple of HP and probably a few more ft. lbs of torque... The crank alone will not set your hair on fire, but...will be noticeable. Did you get the porting on your cylinder cut to match the longer stroke? Quote
[email protected] Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 You'll get a couple of HP and probably a few more ft. lbs of torque... The crank alone will not set your hair on fire, but...will be noticeable. Did you get the porting on your cylinder cut to match the longer stroke? yeah you need a port job to complement the long rod stroker . TRUST ME my shit ran like a cow with just spacer plates and not ported correctly.... I had to get it re done by a shop around miami ( 99performance ) and now the bike screams like a death wish . Just throwing a 4mill with some nice porting you could be in the 65-90hp depending on what you really do to the cylinders and how extensive the port job is . All hp numbers are guesses beacause every setup is differnt ..... Quote
odaen Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 The others above told you what you'd experience.......a night and day difference from what you have now. You won't even recognize it as the same bike when you ride it. You'll probably be in the 70's for HP, compared to 40's previously. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 Oh hell yes....with all the porting work, pipes, intakes, stroker and carbs it'll be a TOTALLY different bike. I'm guilty of skimming...I just read the post of how much difference from a stock crank to 4 mil long rod. That mod in itself will not be a huge deal. Combined with all the other goodies...oh yeah, you're gonna have a blast.... Sorry if my post was confusing! Quote
nicktoney Posted November 3, 2006 Author Report Posted November 3, 2006 thanks and yeh, i decided on just having mr noss cut me domes for the stroke... and the porting is being done just for the longer rods/stroke... soooooo im excited now... thanks guys! Quote

The crank by it's self is worth about 7% power Quote
streetbanshee Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 I'm interested in running the same setup what was the total for the crank, pistons, port job and cutting the domes Quote
