You heard right! I went tonight and picked up a 2000, stock shee. Its only been bored .20 over, new tires all around, new brakes, new chain, chain rollers, newly rebuilt, and is in excellent shape for a stock 2000. I bought it from a guy that is retired and all he does is build banshee's and his son drag races them. He's got like three drag shee's and another stock setup with a few bolt on mods. And thats not including this one. He just got done going through it and everything. Its all stock right now, but I plan on throwing a set of pipes, reeds, and reed spacer on it eventually. I'm used to a piped blaster, so the power of this stock shee is pretty satisfying right now...haha. Welp, I'll shut up and show you the good part. The pics arent the best cuz it was in my truck, and dark...but i plan on gettin' some better pics once I get to clean it up real nice.

 Damn, I rmember when my banshee used to look like that. I'd skip on the reed spacers, they don't really do anything except clear the clutch arm when you have larger carbs. Plus you won't be able to run an air box if your doing trails. Your right on on the other mods though, I see you've been reading!

I thought the reed spacers were supposed to help quite a bit on the low-end? I probably wont be doing much more to this than just a pipe and reeds really. I just ride trails mainly, and just a weekend warrior type...haha. But thanks for the input!

And thanks guys for all the comments!

And I think i'll hold on to it at least for a couple weeks BigRed....haha.

Ok, I've been doing a lil research on different pipes. From what i've seen...the better woods riding/trail pipes are either PT mids, or dmcs. Are there any other and what would you guys suggest? I want something that has the best low-end....I dont really care if my bike will do 90mph...lmao.

2 into one carb. should help trail ridng some.

nice shee. you gonna cut the fenders?

Yeah, I'm thinking about it, just dont know how I wanna do them yet. I dont really want to switch the carbs or anything like that, just the basics..pipe/reeds mainly.

Weekend Trail rider also

Have an 2002 Shee. Purchased with cool head, PC pipes and factory sound silencers. Great for trail riding, but needed spark arresters for riding on forest lands. Ordered PC quite spark arrestor mufflers from Rocky Mountain (they said these are being discontinued?)

Didn't sound any quieter to me, but they did smooth the hit just a little and now I don't have to worry about that sparky ticket. Also put 21" tires back on front and 22" on rear for more ground clearance. Now I need to order a 13 tooth front sprocket to get the gear back down (ride with the kids and some slow-pokes sometimes also).

Working great for a trail bike

I ride trails alot, and bought vitos 2 stage reeds. I just went back to stock. I feel better low end response with stock. You can feel the difference mid and top, but they suck low end. I got lower gearing sprockets, and that helps in the tight trails. Anyway just my two cents, but if you want some like new 2 stage reeds i have them for a good deal. CONGRATS! P.S. skip the spacers.

Oh yeah and if you ride trails mainly, I wouldn't cut the plastic! You'll appreciate it after a few mud puddles!!!!

Had a FMF low end pipe on my 250R and i loved it. Have FMF fattys on the shee and can't complain either.

Nice find...............

Ya really found something rather extraordinary. I mean finding a six year old shee stock with no aftermarket parts is like findin' a unicorn................ :yelrotflmao:

Haha, thats kinda what I thought.

As far as the fenders, thats just a thought...the more I think about it, the more I think i'll leave them on. Cuz we run into alot of water and mud. As far as the pipe, I'm kinda wanting to try something different, everyone around my area runs fmf like its the only kind of pipe available. I'm thinking about either the PT mids, DMC aliens(possibly 916), or the F7 exhaust(formally phantom).

I here what you're saying. Just for fun check out the FMF web site and look at the low end pipes. Pretty nasty how they just shoot straight up!
