Rippin-it Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I am installing as we speak trinity pipes on a brand new banshee and the right pipe won't fully slide up over the exhaust port? It seems to be just slightly off somewhere which is not allowing the me to get the pipe angled right to slide it over the port. The left side fits good. Is this common? What should I do... Quote
Bansh88 Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Can't really help. one thing I can tell you is: DON'T FORCE IT! don't get frustrated. i've been in your spot before on installations and have lost my cool. Sometimes ended up breaking shit. Just sit back, take a break. Remove it completely and try it again. Sometimes your approach has a lot to do with it. The starting angle that you're bringing it in at. Quote
Dinner Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Make sure you have your steering cranked all the way to the left, so that there is the most room possible. Usually that side is harder than the left just because the rad hose, so just look at it, take your time, move your steering, move that hose around. Make sure you get the bottom part that attaches to the cylinder in there, then as you are bringing up the part that attaches to the silencer, make sure to also get the exhaust part on. Hope this helps  Quote
RNBRAD Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 They are hard to get on because you have 2 large o-ring to press over the exhaust port. Use some grease on the rings and exhaust port. Once you get the expansion chamber lip over the exhaust port you will have to continue to twist the chambers back and forth while putting a lot of force pushing them on. A price you have to pay for a good seal. Quote

The pipe fits so tight to the port that you literally almost need to hit the pipe onto the port otherwise it will only go half way. They sound awesome and look just as good on my 06 black special edition:) Quote
