blak banshee Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 I got a 98 blaster as well as my banshee. suspension sucks and the brakes are even worse. I was looking and it seems like the front spindle/hub assemblies could be swapped. If so does anyone have a front banshee disk conversion to sell me so i can install on my blaster? Shocks swap out? This would be a big help cause as I upgrade my banshee, I could upgrade my blaster with the old banshee parts. Any info much appreciated. Quote
NYUK Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 the front shocks, rims. rear banshee hubs fit the blaster axle. the handle grips. Quote
nunyabinness Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 the spindles have to be modified to work on the blaster. i know because i am currently doing the same thing to my 2000 blaster. yes the shocks do swap out but they are stiffer on the shee than on the blaster. so if your blaster shocks are too soft then the banshee shocks will be an improvement. the banshee foot pegs are interchangeable i think. go to projectblaster.com and go to the forums and do a search. both of those questions have been asked and answered several times. sand4ever Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Just buy 03 or newer spindles for a blaster than add the banshee hubs and calipers. For the rear you have to add tabs for the slave and resevoir, then you can use a blaster carrier 03 or newer with the blaster axle or the banshee carrier, but have to space it correctly. I think it is about an inch narrower than the blaster one. I am currently doing this to my wifes bike. also using banshee front shocks with a z400 rear shock, you have to modify the rear shock, but is worth the work. Good Luck Quote

Good Luck good luck finding 03 or newer spindles. and if you do find them they are not going to be cheap. here's a list of swappable parts: http://blasterville.freeservers.com/partsswap.htm here's a link to some info about front brakes if you are any good at fabricating stuff this might help you out: http://www.blasterville.freeservers.com/frontbrakes.htm and you can use the spindles you have on the blaster now. i would have tried this myself but my fabrication skills leave a LOT to be desired. DILUSI Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 hey i know this is a old topic but i like to use the search button. i was thinking of useing blaster pegs on my build, could you tell me how you made out with useing them. thanks Quote
Trick2stroke Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I put my blaster RollDesign pegs on the banshee, worked out great. I like the peg position better. You'll need to shorten your shifter. (or use a blaster shifter and bend it to clear the stator cover like I did) Quote
