just bought 2000 shee. took carbs off and cleaned, new plugs and fluids. shee ran fine for about 4 rides now thick white smoke out left pipe and not running right. i emptied tank and remixed fuel just incase it was to rich. left plug is darker than right.also see oil coming out between motor and pipe. does this sound like piston and rings???? also does 24.1 with yamalube sound right? thats what yamaha dealer told me to use. any help would be appreciated.

I personally ran 32:1 yamalube, but you're not gonna hurt anything running 24:1. White smoke can mean you have a bad head gasket or O-Ring if you have a coolhead, and it's allowing water to get into the cylinder.

this would make it feel like its kind of bogging down? no cool head. would you try the head gasket first or just do the whole thing (pistons rings gaskets etc.) i have someone to help me out so it wouldnt cost much altough the guy claimed he recently did the top end, but you know how that goes. also my friend who does alot of cross country racing said hes tried both after market pistons and oem and ALWAYS liked oem better and they lasted longer. i want reliability first and low to medium power. i trail ride alot. any suggestions?????
