Whats goin on every 1 just joined today and im in the market for a banshee. My ?'s are....Are there any year banshee's i should stay away from or lean toward? what should i look for in a used banshee...What are the pro's and con's to haveing a banshee? Thanks in advance for any help...

id get a 2000 and newer.... id personally dont like the older models with "J" arms vice "A" arms bt for the most part they have remained the same...

It's fast as hell!

 

Cons-

Hope you don't mind trying to jet 2 carbs.

 

Also, somebody had a good FAQ on here about what to look for when buying a used bike. I'll see if I can dig it up. Welcome to the HQ!

I'd say '95 up,really whatever you can get a good price on I agree with Bansh J-Arms are junk,but to each his own opinion,welcome aboard,your in for one hell of a ride!!! :beer: ...Rebel

The main concern when I was in the market was to make sure it was a green sticker.

I saw a couple Banshee's Glamisdunes.com classifieds a while back $3500 to $5000 with everything on em. I think this one sold.

You DMV registration sticker which is manditory in Cali. There's certain bikes/quads made green sticker which you can ride all year long. And there's Red Sticker quads where you can only ride during a certain season & think it's fall/winter season. Something like riding a Jetski in the winter. Makes no sense but maybe this law doesn't exist in your state?

I'm right over the RI boarder in massachusetts, and that green sticker stuff does not apply over here.

The green stickers seem to only apply if you are in the great republic, er ah, state of California, the leader in emissions control. Even though when I bought my '02 the latest year at that time for a green sticker. They had the same damn motor in them that they put in them for the whole 19 year running record, well 20 if you are in Canada.

 

Pro's - Permanent smile on your face that you'll need plastic surgery to remove, much easier to work on and cheaper to get more hp out of than a 4-poke.

 

Con's - The more power you get will be directly proportional to the size of your bank account, which in either case will never be enough............. :yelrotflmao:
