gottago2stroke Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Anybody have a factual idea of what the speed of a stock and piped Banshee is. Sure I felt like I was going 60, but I don't actually have the slightest clue, so if you're like me and don't have the slightest clue you aren't any help so just spare us, please. I don't have many mods, so stock compared to just piped would be real helpful, and I'm sure other people would like to know too... thanks in advance! Quote
CP5899 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 I think it was around 69-71 mph....its been a while, but its right around there. Quote
Ultimateduner Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Yeah I heard a couple times on here that the stoock speed was around 75 mph Quote
gottago2stroke Posted September 26, 2006 Author Report Posted September 26, 2006 Wow, wasn't thinking it was gonna be that much... that's good to hear. Well if my piped 'shee is going 70 or so mph my Tecate must have potential to do around 80, but I have it geared for acceleration... and even though my Tecate has 2 teeth less than stock in the rear, it takes my 'shee both off the line and in the long-run (about 400ft). Both bikes are quick off the line, but the Tecate is practically raceable as it sits. Both quads have around 45hp w/ their mods (Tecate a little more, Banshee a little less)... however the Tecate weighs roughly 50 lbs. less than the Banshee Quote
olmick Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 i paced my buddys 660 raptor and 650 baja on my bike, the raptor ran 77mph and the ds ran 83 banging the rev limiter, with my mods in sig i can pull from the raptor but the ds pulls me, so im guessing anywhere between 79-81mph Quote
farmer Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 A guy I know told me he got his piped Banshee up to 109mph, all I can say is, I did not see it. Quote
[email protected] Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 i had a stock piped banshee with stock everything and clamp on filters , with a shaved head , CPC trail mx porting .... doing 81mph Quote
dajogejr Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 two things...first, you're only gonna go as fast as your gearing and tire size will let you, two...to run bigger gearing to go faster, you need the motor to pull it. Memory serves me correctly...in the 1/4 mile on my my buddies old bone stock banshee, it was 74MPH with the fenders on, and 77 with the fenders off. Obviously, the 1/4 is way more room than you need to top one out. I think I was launching in 3rd slipping the clutch big time. Quote
Skidmark Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 A guy I know told me he got his piped Banshee up to 109mph, all I can say is, I did not see it. damn, if I get a cheetah stroker I should run about 400mph Quote
dajogejr Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 damn, if I get a cheetah stroker I should run about 400mph Yeah...I think he hit the switch marked km/h instead of mph....lol NO piped banshee will ever go that fast, unless it's being towed behind something faster.... Quote
farmer Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 lol, when he told me that I was that cool Quote
