  1. Wow, wasn't thinking it was gonna be that much... that's good to hear. Well if my piped 'shee is going 70 or so mph my Tecate must have potential to do around 80, but I have it geared for acceleration... and even though my Tecate has 2 teeth less than stock in the rear, it takes my 'shee both off the line and in the long-run (about 400ft). Both bikes are quick off the line, but the Tecate is practically raceable as it sits. Both quads have around 45hp w/ their mods (Tecate a little more, Banshee a little less)... however the Tecate weighs roughly 50 lbs. less than the Banshee
  2. Anybody have a factual idea of what the speed of a stock and piped Banshee is. Sure I felt like I was going 60, but I don't actually have the slightest clue, so if you're like me and don't have the slightest clue you aren't any help so just spare us, please. I don't have many mods, so stock compared to just piped would be real helpful, and I'm sure other people would like to know too... thanks in advance!
  3. EDIT: Problem solved thanks to Chase :baseball_mitt:
  4. Yes New England is great... what state you in? I live 1/2 hour off long island sound, south-east Connecticut. My fenders are not affected by N.E. terrain, but my rims sure as hell are, theyre almost squares :ermm: Heres a shot of my cut fenders: And take MYquadsFaster's advice, DO NOT cut your rears. The way I cut mine was just because I needed to be able to see if my a-arms were clearing the real rocky terrain of Southern CT. And thanks to some rocks I don't have a skidplate, both my PRM and my stocker were demolished by rocks! My stocker got torn in half... never did find the sprocket side, was ripped clean off :ninja:
  5. No wire from the p-brake, but the one that was coming from the thumb throttle I removed, I followed it down and it just plugged in, so I cut the connectors and grounded them out. I really can't seem to find what went wrong.. I am currently going from my garage to my computer, and back again, trying to solve this. I wanna ride man... Haven't had my 'shee out in months!!!! I'm dying :baseball_wibble:
  6. I used chase's tors elimination walkthrough, I was 99% sure I knew what I was doing... so I guess I'm not so smart for leaving that 1% to chance. Something went wrong, and I aint gettin spark. Probably a bad ground, I have yet to investigate it further... what are some common mistakes? Chase@miamiatv if you read this PM me, I'd like to talk it over with you. Any further help is appreciated. Thanks guys.
  7. Dude... I could be stoned off my ass and still wouldn't let my 'shee go for a nickel under $2000. I won't make fun of you like everybody else, because, actually, I pity you. Alot. You've made a huge mistake... I can't even imagine selling my Banshee. I've tryed, but when it comes down to somebody being interested I back down. And you thought you were emotionally attached? lol you're the one that sold your bike. My girlfriend tells me I love my 'shee more than her... but I'm a smart guy and I say no, but in the back of my mind I know the truth, because believe it or not quads are great girlfriends, they never return your gifts, they never start arguments, and they can't cheat on you (only downside is no sex) :shoothead: I have 3 words for you bro..... BUY, ANOTHER, SHEE!
  8. Sweet sweet bike.. if you were closer I'd take it. What year? somewhere between 94-98 it looks like to me, maybe even a little newer. Very nice KX... I'm a huge KX fan, I've had a few in my time... and I sure miss em. Good luck on the sale!
  9. Hey man, I have dynoport twins, but all of his pipes are "flowjet pipes" and don't require any jettings at all, I've dealt with Rich (dynoport's owner) many times, and on all of his applications no jettings are required... thats probably why you're having a bitch of a time. Give them a ring at (315) 252-2113 (thats their tech line) and run that by them to be sure. Also, if that UNI is a replacement filter you shouldn't have to jet for that either (unless you're removing your airbox lid), but like I said give them a call, and ask them to get a definite answer.
  10. You guys saying theres no aftermarket for LT500's are sadly, sadly mistaken. I read people saying the same thing about Tecates. My buddy has a zilla with alot of aftermarket sh*t... bumper, grab bar, swingarm, hubs, axle, shocks, a-arms, cylinder head, rims, rotors, skid plates, pipe, plastics, seat covers, ss brake lines... and so on. So there certainly is an aftermarket, my buddy didn't spend 10k on oem sh*t. Hell he had his motor build/ported by Duncan. On ebay in summer 04 there was an 88 250r that had never been fired, the dude took the chain off of it so it could be pushed around w/o wearing the sprockets, he showed it and everything. Everything original was there, never taken apart or tampered with, original owner. If I remember correctly it sold for $8,500. I couldn't believe it, but apparently there is a market for the boring hobby of quad collecting. Now obviously theres more interest in R's then LT's, but I'm sure this thing (if it's what this guy says it is) will fetch atleast $5,000. This certainly isn't the site to be advertising it on though... tell your buddy throw it on ebay.
  11. BUMP! Sorry haven't gotten around to taking pictures of the actual tires, but to give you an idea... They have some nice tread, my truck is a 4 spd, 2wd and I never had problems getting traction..
  12. This is a set of 4, BFG All Terrain T/A truck tires. Size 235/75 R15. They are currently on a set of factory Chevy 5 lug rims, the rims however I am not charging for, they basically just come with the tires and you get to pop em off! They were on my 88 C1500 (2wd) that I used as a yard truck, I never registered it, and I purchased these tires for it just to use around the yard. They've never been on the road is what I'm getting at. They costed me about $480 ($119 per tire) and each tire still like new, maybe 10-15 miles tops on them, seeing they never left the yard and I live on just 3.5 acres. They all have about 95% tread left. I am still selling them pretty cheap, considering their condition and the amount I paid, I believe that $200 for the set is a fair price... that's $50 a tire. I will ship these, if you want to save money on shipping it might be smart to pay a little extra and have me get the rims knocked out, I'll call a local shop and get a priced out. And to make it easier, I'll go half with the buyer on the price to get the tires taken off the rims. I will take pictures today (Wednesday) and post them later, or as soon as I can.. Anybody who can pay with paypal I will give a $20 discount. Thanks
