Ultimateduner Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 My cousin has been talking some mad shit about how hes going to smoke my ass in the dunes. I know me should just race but dune season doesn't start here till about a month so just wondering what my chances of winning are. I know this is a hard question, but I'm just looking for an estimate. The race will be in glamis (sand) flat and on oldsmobile. We are noth experienced riders.Specs.... race-a-holic Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 I think it will be pretty close. You have the better pipes. The T-6's suck in my opinion. Alot depends on which port is better. Not all ports are the same.Even if they are both called dune ports. Quote

Ultimateduner Posted September 20, 2006 Author Report Posted September 20, 2006 yeah definently Quote
nitroburner13 Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 D&M is a better port job imo but youve got a huge weight advantage. i think youll beat him. you could always drill those carbs out for some alcohol too for about 100 bucks or so. that would about guarantee your win. Quote
dajogejr Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 If he can ride, he's gonna beat you IMO, depending on how well those T6's respond to Kenz's porting. He has the better list of mods....you have the weight advantage. But...if he has as good or better riding skills...I think he might have the edge... I know Kenz makes a killer 4 stroke, didn't know they built 2 strokes as well... Either way...it should be a good race! Quote

With all things being equal, ask yourself this. What is the size of the main jet he runs, and what is the size of the main jet your run. I run a 320 main and put out about 60 hp. I think it will be pretty close. You have the better pipes. The T-6's suck in my opinion. Alot depends on which port is better. Not all ports are the same.Even if they are both called dune ports. I agree about the t6s, i put the t5s because i was told by a dealer they are a better pipe. Quote
rocketboy Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 if he is running t6 on a good dune port hes losing a ton of power because those pipes are designed for a much lower exhaust duration ,his peak hp and rpm will be limited alot ,but then again kenz isnt known for porting banshees either ,so it may be really close .sems odd to take a set of jugs to a guy who specializes in 4 pokes engines to me but hey.... Quote
