The damn thing starts right up on the first kick and idles perfect but the second you give it gas (even a little) It dies. I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what the fuck is going on with this thing. -darin Quote

If it's dirty and clogged, as soon as you nail the gas it won't have enough air to breathe, and kills the engine. Just trying to help you rule out what it CAN'T be, LOL Quote
okbeast Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Go out and check the parking brake mechanism and make sure that everything is tight and what not. There's 2 pieces that if they seperate they will cause this exact thing. I'd be willing to bet this is the problem. Quote

lowriderb Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 if after checking the tors and parking brake systems.. the carbs are clean and in sync the reeds are there, the filters clean.. swap cdi's with yours and see if it still does it.. Quote

The main shouldn't have any effect at all while in neutral. I've had a main jet fall out and it runs fine up to about 3/4th throttle in all gears. But I agree w/ everything else you've mentioned.
