I am one of the mods over at Project Blaster under this same name. Anyways, I own a 2005 blaster and I have been throwing around the idea about trying to either sell my blaster and hopefully get around 2500 for it, or find someone that for some odd reason would want to trade a banshee for my blaster(for whatever reason) lol. But anyways...I know I wont be able to get a banshee as new as my blaster, but I was just gonna see what you guys thought about my idea. Do you think it would be a logical idea? I mean would I be able to get enough out of my 05 blaster to get a....say...95-01 banshee? I would also like to get a "sound running" banshee thats in pretty good shape...ya know something I could jump on and ride and not worry about it all time and fixing it constantly. Keep in mind I really dont wanna put any more money into it...I would either want to trade straight up or get whatever i can out of my blaster and just buy a banshee with only that money straight up. So let me know what you think, or if you know where a lead may be or anything. Thanks! Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 well i dont know of many ppl who would trade a banshee for a blaster but i think if you seel your blaster you can get a pretty nice banshee for around 2500 to 3000...where do you live as that will determine how much banshees go for in your area... banshee04le Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I had a blaster before I got a banshee. They are fun, tough bikes. Have you rode a banshee yet? Nothing like going from a blaster to a banshee. Do it! Like loco said, you can find a decent banshee for 2500-3000 and you should be able to get some where around that out of an 05 blaster I would think. Quote

Actually today after I posted this he called me a lil later and asked me if I wanted to go riding with him and I was like yeah. So he just bought a yz125 here recently so he was riding that so he told me I could ride his banshee :baseball_w00t: ...lol. But yeah, its a totally different beast. I'm not really set on modding it hardcore really or anything...I'm just what you would call a "basic trail rider" ...lol. I like my blaster, but I just havent got the extra $$$ to do what I would really like to do to it. So i figured if I could get that much out of my blaster, and get a few years older banshee thats running good...why not? right? Actually, theres a guy here in town thats gonna have a banshee for sale here b-4 too long...he's having it rebuild right now...new crank and everything, fresh top-end. its a 99, newer orange plastics, freshly painted blue frame, pro-circuit pipes, good tires...for $2500. Plus that includes an entire other parts bike to go with it. So yeah, I'm probably gonna end up getting his if everything doesnt take too long. I can just hope!...lol. Just to let you know, I paid a g for my 2002, and it came with most of the mods listed in my sig. This is how it looked when I bought it. The plastics were cut, and it had a lot of oil in it, but it runs perfect now. The blasters are nice bikes, I had one a while back, and they are plenty fun on the trails, easy to kick around, and pretty reliable. If you lurk around here long enough or planet sand, there is bound to be a good deal. You'll notice a world of difference if you bump up to a banshee! Quote
Bubba_wrx Posted September 10, 2006 Author Report Posted September 10, 2006 Yeah, I like the blaster, I just feel more comfortable and "stable" on a banshee. Alot of times on the trails(which is all I ride really) I feel like I'm almost gonna flip over on some of the simplest stuff on the blaster. But on my cuz's banshee that I rode...its got alot wider/longer base and feels more stable. It is definetly a whole different beast to handle than my blaster...after a few hours I was wore out holding on and controlling it...lol. But thats just because i'm used to that blaster I guess. I can get used to controlling it and everything. But yeah, I just posted my blaster and pics in the For Sale Section, so if anyone is interested, you can take a look. Thanks alot for the input! Quote
