I pulled the clutch basket on my sons shee to change the cushions.I noticed that when I was going back on with the basket that the spacer fits very snug in the brass sleeve,I actually had to tap it in ,and to remove it I also have to tap it out .Will it hurt anything to run it like that or does the spacer need to move freely in the brass shitz. It looks like once the basket is installed and torqued down that the spacer will not be able to spin.

Thanks

Yes it has to spin freely. You can take a brake hone or some fine sand paper and take a little of the brass off. I used a die grinder with a 1/2 inch sanding drum bit. It worked great.

Or instead of fucking up something that's already fucked up, go buy a new one! If its not working like it should, its for a reason. Don't jerry-rig the shit to fuck up more later, fix the problem right the first time so it doesn't happen again later. :banghead:

The brass bushing on mine was new straight from twister with there straight cut gears and that what Louie told me to do. I think I would trust him.

Yep, I had to do the same thing, when you get a set of straight cuts they have to press a bushing in it, when they do that it compresses the bushing and you have to releive it a little. I've been running my 10 mill for over 2 years like that and have not had a problem.
