the motor in my Z-28 is about to go and the only way i can get the money to get it re-build is to sell my shee :baseball_wibble: i can say it was a good strong motor up til this last wk or 2. i have notice it losing power but really see how bad when i raced my buddy's '97 Z-28 and he beat me (i beat him about 2 or 3 months ago pretty bad in the quarter). but for 180,000 miles, it has been a good strong runner and i have had nothing to bitch about. im thinking of getting i punched out to a 355, 383, or 396, bigger cam, having the heads ported and polish and a few other small things.

thats the plan later on down the road, but the motor needs to be refreshed before anything. i really dont want to sell my shee, but it going to cost me around $600 to get it back up and running. one of my buddy offered my $2000 as it sits so, ive got to do what ive got to do.

A REAL buddy would just loan you the $600 to fix the car instead of letting you sell the Banshee. God, what is this world coming to?!? Just trying to help you out! :thumb:

I've done that for a friend of mine so he could keep his quad...actually I've made his Yamaha payment for him for the past 3 months while he's getting back on his feet. I'd rather do that than lose a long time riding buddy

To me, 600 bucks isn't worth selling your quad for, I'd pick up a part time job for a month before selling it. You can make 600 in a week delivering pizzas

But, you do what you gotta do, I might have to sell my 450 in the coming months because I may be layed off at my current job, but that's a little different than your situation.

Good luck to ya

Ya I would hate to see ya sell it. I think big boy is right. try to pick up and extra job even for a month or 2 then you can fix your comarrow and keep your shee.

I agree with big boy on this one too. Do some overtime or something, but for $600? If its to get you to work thats different, but if its a race car just stay off the track for while 'til you save the money............

No, its $600 to fix my quad (needs clutch basket, clutch, stator, flywheel, and back tires & rims)and about $2000 to rebuild my Z-28's motor (having punched out, new pistons, bigger cam, rocker arms, P&P and other things to make it fly again) besides my buddy who is buying it will most likely hold on to it til ive got the money to buy it back from him. hopfully this clears things up a bit

OK, that makes more sense now. I was gonna say, $600 to fix your camaro would be chump change!
