Genchaos Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 That would be an effective way of finding out what the next weakest part of your drivetrain is! I would think that considering the powerband of a shee is not as wide as a four stroke, the turbo lag would be fairly large. I bet it would really put traction to the test when the power hits! Quote

A properly sized turbine housing and wheel trims can get rid of virtually all lag. Quote
RIPPEN Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I think its kinda funny that he links that vid clip... But all it is, is vid of him revin it a little in neutral. Would probably help his sale to actually show it running through the gears, through h igh Rs rather than just ideling.. Iam ready to see whitey's run RIPPEN Quote

BigRed350x Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I vote either chain or countershaft. In most cases you will blow up 2nd gear before you break a good chain. The transmission is the weakest point in stock banshees when you go to up the power that high. Run over to planetsand and talk to those guys. Lots of guys with big power engines are running billet transmissions or at least billet 2nd gear. Quote

Transmission will always be the weakest IMO. That is what the 2:1 pipe is for, the turbo takes care of the topend. Quote
