I am interested in buying new carbs for my banshee but i do not know what size i should buy and what brand. I am looking for carbs with idle screw built in so i do not have to tap it myself. My banshee is primarily used for dirt trailing.

would you mind giving us the mods on your bike so we can set you up with the best bang for your specific quad. I run Trinity but probably not what you want for your type of riding give us a little info and i will surely help you with the route to go.

28 to 30mm PWK or Mikuni carbs will work just fine. If you go any bigger than that with stock porting, I think you'll be wasting your money, let alone...you'll be taking away from the already absent low end.

Honestly, drilling and tapping the holes in your stockers to remove the TORS is really no big deal.

But, PWK carbs are much easier to work on...

The slide design is prone to sticking on the stockers....not an issue on other models of carbs.

If you want to stick to trailing, a single 35PWK 1 into 2 carb setup might be up your alley, as well!!

Basically my whole banshee is stock right now. I want to get new exhaust and do a little to my engine in the near future. Im aiming to do some mx dirt track type of things. What type of things would i be expected to buy if i was wanted to ride mx tracks.

To be honest, for MX tracks you bought the wrong bike.

Any of the 450s would have been a better choice.

To answer your question...You'll want a bottom-mid pipe and a 1 into 2 carb setup.

If you plan on doing MX...forget about anything (other than pipes)...get the suspension done first.

Having all that power in the motor ain't gonna mean squat when the guys ripping by you are down 10 HP but have 10X better suspension.

Revalved rear...at least some works up front. Elkas are pricey, but good stuff. Probably a wider rear axle, and +2 +1 A Arms as well.
