i finally put everything back together and its running nicely. the jets that were in my carbs were 150 50 and it was reccomended 152 58 when i called that number you gave me. I took out the stock airbox and put on 2 filters on, not really sure what kind they were but the guy ordered something different than the durablues. Only problem is i dont have a place to mount the little coolant tank that used to be on the airbox. is there anything i can buy? thanks again

I just placed 30mm flat slide carbs on my stock banshee. it has stock exhaust and compression of course. I am 600ft above sea level and i was wondering if anyone has any idea what the main and pilot would be. thanks

I just put on new carbs and the rubber joints that connect the carbs to the airbox do not fit on the opening of the carbs. The openings are much larger. How would i go about solving this problem. Thanks

Hey, Recently i messed up my carbs and am looking to get new ones. I was looking at keihin and then i found keihin style for cheaper. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these. They are quite a bit cheaper so i wasnt too sure if they were as effective or not. Thanks Keihin Style Carbs

Hey, My idle screw hole threads are messed up because the hole i drilled was a little too big. I was wondering if there is a easy solution to this problem. Ive heard of loctite repair a thread kit, aswell as other goos. I plan on buying new carbs in 4 months once the winter comes but i want a solution so that i can just ride it out for now. Thanks

Basically my whole banshee is stock right now. I want to get new exhaust and do a little to my engine in the near future. Im aiming to do some mx dirt track type of things. What type of things would i be expected to buy if i was wanted to ride mx tracks.

I am interested in buying new carbs for my banshee but i do not know what size i should buy and what brand. I am looking for carbs with idle screw built in so i do not have to tap it myself. My banshee is primarily used for dirt trailing.

Hey, I just recently removed my rear axle and im having a hell of a time removing the nutz. Is this regular threaded or reverse? Is there any easy tools besides the ones you buy for 30$+ that are possible to use? And does heating it make a difference? If you could give any other tips i would be most grateful. Thank you

Thank you very much for the pic. Now my banshee can resume its ressurection. Take care.

Yeh, i got the one with only circular holes on it. I just repainted it and put automotive clearcoat on it. Its not too bad but i could have made the same thing or under 15 bucks.

Thanks alot for the help guys. I just recently bought a idle kit for 30 bucks after shipping with the bits, so its perfect. I should be getting them within a few days. The only thing i dont know is where to drill it. Would it be possible for someone to just get a pic of a carb on this thread and circle it or something. I read the guide on properly doing it but i still dont understand where it goes. Thanks again.

So i bought a new twist throttle, and i took off the tors and all that stuff. I wanted to make sure she still ran since i havent ran her in a few weeks. I got it to idle from the throttle cable because my idle screws havent came in yet. I was wondering if there is anything wrong with letting it idle from the cable, i knew there should be a small ammount of slack. But the next problem that came up was the one exhaust was pumping more hot and more smoke than the other one. Was this just because of the idle adjustments? Thanks alot.

So basically i was saving for the past few months to buy a banshee when finally i had enough money. I found a 2001 banshee, rebuilt engine, good condition for 3700 canadian after tax. I jumped on this deal immediatley. So i take her home and she runs fine. The guy told me to put some new gas in her becuase the old stuff has been sitting since the spring. I put new gas in her and she started to bog. I stripped the whole thing down (not knowing) and wasted 5 hours trying to figure out what this mystery bogging sound was. So at 12pm that night i go on this forum to find out that it was only the parking break. I fixed it and went fourweeling the next morning. When i was going up a hill i hit something and fell off, i got a minor concussion. I went to emergency for the first time in my life and had a cat scan and a xray to find out i was ok. I just had huge headaches and nausia. So the next day i was like ok, since i cant ride my fourwheeler i will sand some of her down and give her some new paint. I was sanding down the handle bars and i got something in my eye. I didnt think much of it. That night i had a huge migrane and i didnt sleep. Aswell my eye was burning. When i got up i looked in the mirror and there was a black dot down right of my pupil. So i went to school a little late and it was the most hagrid day of my life. i got home and went to emergecny at 330 for the 2nd time in 3 days. I waited 4 hours for a doctor to come and freeze my eye and take this metal razor tool and flick some of it out. Now im here with one eye opened and just laughing at how much of a retard i am. I hope your banshees havent brought your this much bad luck. Well my banshee is still in good condition so i guess im happy. hope you enjoyed my story.

I just bought myself a 2001 banshee and i do not have an owners manual. I was wondering if someone had a ebook or some collection of information they could send me so i can educate myself more on this machine.

I recently got my first banshee and its a 01. It has minor rust on rear axel, swing arm, exhaust, some dots on the front suspension and some spots on the frame. I want to take care of this rust so my banshee has that new new shined up look. I was wondering if anyone can point in the proper direction as to the the paints that need to be used to properly protect it from wear. Thanks
