The first time? Do you remember the first time you rode a Banshee?

My first time happen back in 1996. A friend of mine bought a new 96 Banshee, and he was kind enough to let me take it for a spin! I was amazed at the power, the sound and the way it felt. And even before that first ride ended, I knew I would have to get one. Well, about 2 days later I went out and bought my own new Banshee. But to this day, I still remember that very first ride.

I guess you never forget "the first time".

Word! My first ride was on yours and then I had to have one. It's contagious!

I think the 96's were a little bit faster. :thumb: I noticed you could slide it around alot easier

because the tires where always spinning faster than they could hook up. Then I got some tires that hook up better and did some wheelie crashing. Good times.

I remember mine i was looking for a new fourwheeler after my POS trailblazer i got when i was 10 blew up. Well a week or so after looking on the net me and my dad went to the yamaha shop and looked at all the bikes first thing i saw was a YFZ450 and i was in love with the looks. My dad who raced fourwheelers years back when it was all 2 strokes automatically went for the banshee. He started talking about when he first saw them. Not a week later he found some guy selling one and later that night i went to look at it. I get there check it out and it looked good so the guy being really cool started it up and said go for it. After going down his driveway i get on the side of the road and nail it and much to my surprise the front end went straight up for the first 2 gears. On my way back all i could do is smile from ear to ear. So we talk to the guy a bit more and on our way home all i wanted to do is ride it again. The following day the guy delivered it to my house. To this day i still smile when i ride my banshee.

i bought mine off my neighbor in the mid 90's. i almost crashed so many times. it was really fast because my neighbor had done all these trick hopups to it sence he use to race it.

so i got to ride it around for a few days and then some bastard stole it.

i quit banshees and 4 wheelers in general untill 10 years later, a few months ago i went out and bought a new banshee.

When I was 15, right before the banshee came out, my Dad bought me a 1972 yamaha rd250 to run around on his 50 acres. The banshee motor was based upon these bikes, It was a two stroke with dual carbs, twin cylinders and dual pipes. I think he paid fifteen dollars for it. It took me awhile to grow a set of balls to get on it, it had a bad point on one side so when you reved it up, the second cylinder would kick in, one hell of a ride when that second cylinder started working. I finally fixed it and had the fastest bike around. She finally broke a shifting fork, the frame is still laying around, motor is long gone but the memory is still fresh. Those memories made me buy a banshee and I have no regrets. Makes me feel like I'm fifteen all over again.
