Once apon a time about 2-3 years ago...I traded a nice YZ-250 and $1,200 for my first '97 Banshee that "Just needed a clutch." Well come to find out I had to spend hundreds on it and waited for weeks to finally get it together. I was so upsest with Banshee's at the time that I would beg my parents everyday to help me buy one until I bought this '97. I finally got the thing completely together and rode it for my first time. I was extremely happy to find my new addiction. I was the happiest kid in the world. The End.

the first time i rode my banshee was one of the best days of my life. i went down to north carolina to pick it up and take it back here to new jersey. it was a nice LOOOONG trip. got it home...started it up...took it down the street and loved it ever since. i was going to sell it to buy a car but i came to my senses and realized that there is nothing better.

Hello, My name is Mike and I have an addiction!!!

about 5 or 6 years ago, my friend i rode with had a '94 shee he used to mx, hill climb, and play around with. just about everything under the sun to make it faster was done to it. i was always afraid to ask him to ride it cause it was his pride and joy and it scared the shit outta me!!! lol one day he told me after we were done ridin to take it for a rip out across the field. i did and had never been on anything that accelerated and just kept gettin faster like that in my life. when i got back grinning from ear to ear and my calves bleeding from the pipe burns on them i knew then and there i had to have a banshee. (+5 yrs) now about 7 months ago i bought a used '97 that someone dropped off at his shop and couldnt afford to fix and have had this wonderful addiction ever since. it still gives me a semi whenever i can go home and ride the shit out of it!!! Long live the banshee!!! :headbang:

Hello father for I have sinned, it has been six mont................Oh, sorry confession. :yelrotflmao:

I rode motorcycles for years, either street or dirt and enjoyed them a lot. Then about five years ago my brother bought a Black limited edition Raptor 660 and a Honda 250. He invited our whole family to Sand Mountain NV for a weekend of quad and motorcycle ridin'. We had fun, but then it was more fun when he let me ride his quad. That was a hell-of-a-lot more fun than my motorcycle, so we were all hooked. My parents went out and bought a Raptor and a warrior, and a family friend also bought a warrior. So we went for a little longer and then a friend of mine sold me a 250R ATC which was fun until it died, then wifey and I decided it was time to get the family quads. My brother sold his Honda 250 and bought a Banshee, thats all it took for me because I couldn't get the smile off my face. I bought my wife a Raptor 660, me a Banshee and my daughter a Warrior and the rest is history.

This family sport took hold and is now in all of our blood, my dad also went and bought a Banshee (age 57), and we owe it all to my little brother, thanks man.............

Well it all started for me in the year 2000, My step dads buddy had a brand spankin new 2001 Banshee sitting in his shed (This was right before the Raptors) and when I saw it I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I nagged at my stepdad to buy anything offroad so he started it with a 250 3-wheeler and I learned everything on that. Well 6 months down the road my step dads buddy was in a bad divorce with his ex wife and she went after him for everything he had. He sold the 01 Shee to us on 0% Financing so my parents took the offer and the first time I even rode on the back it scared the chit outta me. Once I got to ride it by myself I couldnt believe the speed and power it had. After so much riding the top end went and it sat in our garage for about 8 months all dissected(sp?). Once that rebuild, pipes, and airfilter came in I was the happiest kid around with the fastest bike and it was great! I let a few friends ride it and 2 weeks later I had 3 friends go buy a Banshee....I was no longer the fastest of em all

my first quad was a banshee and only weeks earlier was the first time i even rode a friends quad with a clutch (blaster)..

i bought a 96 with T 5's and a k&n..with twist throttle

i went to ride it home from the guys house and stalled it about 5 times...my excuse was me not being used to the twist  :baseball_wibble:

about a week later i was riding and launched off a decent size jump..landed and pulled the throttle to WOT..at that time i decided to buy a thumb throttle

good times with the banshees

the guy i bought it from now has a raptor 700 (hmf exhaust and efi controller)...my current "everyday" banshee is still whooping his ass!

perfect thread, I can still remember my first time...

I was out looking at quad's and tried a few 4pokes and a wayy out of tune shee, but when I got to this one guys house I hopped on and cruised down the road. I hit the powerband and was like "what the fuck just happened". The next day I bought it and we've been in love ever since.

I bought my 98 without ever even riding a Banshee.

I bought it, and couldn't ride it until that weekend even.

What sold me on buying one was the pictures of my friends out at the dunes riding. There was a picture a buddy had, where he was having more fun at that moment, than I'd had in quite some time.

Now I'm almost the only one left out of a whole crew of people that still has a banshee, let alone a quad.

I first rode sangrencivics 01 in stock form and it was fun but i was addictied after a set of t-5's were put on it. I ended up buying his and he got a 472 p.v. banshee. These machines get your blood pumping.
