jay shafer Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 (edited) What do u guys think about this comparison? Both bikes have cpi inframes, +4 swinger, +4 timing, and both run on race gas. The stock stroke cub has just a clean up port. In 300 feet drag and 1/8th mile ashalt with the both riders weighing the same which one do u guys think will have the advantage? Rustbag Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 I would think the cub would spank the 7mm. 40cc or whatever aint gonna make as good a difference as better flowing ports IMO. Quote
shanYE west Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 (edited) I'd say 7mil depending on porting and bore sizes Edited July 7, 2006 by fouledout2 Quote
blueshee03 Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 i'd have to say the 7mm .a 7mm stock cylinder set up right with the right porting is quite capable of beating the stock stroke cub with a clean up port.stock cylinders are really under estimated by everyone. Quote
Rustbag Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 He said 7mm stock cylinder vs stock stroke cub. stock cylinder would mean no porting to me. He didn't mention it was ported. Quote
jay shafer Posted July 7, 2006 Author Report Posted July 7, 2006 the 7mm is play/drag ported w/ 65mm bore. the 7mm could easily be fully drag ported but for now its play/drag Quote
RILS Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 the 7mm is play/drag ported w/ 65mm bore. the 7mm could easily be fully drag ported but for now its play/drag I would say the 7mill if itset up right. Quote
strokrbanshee1 Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 I would put my money on the 7 mill Quote
Big Blue Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 I would put my money on the 7 mill My money is on the 7mill also. Quote
Rustbag Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 the 7mm is play/drag ported w/ 65mm bore. the 7mm could easily be fully drag ported but for now its play/drag 65mm bore and ported! Thats not what I would call stock. I get the picture though. Lets see that would make it a 404cc or round about. Thats not as easy to say who would win. Could all depend on the port jobs. Let us know who wins. I;ll take the cub just to be the under dog Quote

I;ll take the cub just to be the under dog i will say also a huge part of the out come in any race is the riders skills.a good rider with 50 hp is capable of beating a bad rider with 100 hp.this and chassis setup are most of the time overlooked.most guys seem to think its all about motor and hp. CadillacBanshee Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 The cub setup should win. I dont think 40cc can outpower a clean up port on a cubs. Quote
wesw Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 7mm most easy ive seen 4mm stock jugs beat 358 cubs depends a lot on the rider as most have said. 7mm will make a lot of torque Quote
[email protected] Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 depends on the port job.... with the right porting ( tripple ports ) etc . .. . , pipes , and porter/ engine mech im sure the 7mm will walk all over the cub .................. Quote
wesw Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 my old 4mm stockers ran with 358 cubs. win one race lose another. so a 7mm should be a lot more impressive. imo Quote
