I sware (sp) ive heard of it, but cant remember where. If anyone one has seen or heard of a single carb kit for an '05 Raptor 660R, please let me know! :beer:

i belive edlebrock makes the kit i think its around the $300-$400 range. I looked at it when i had my rappy. I belive they have duel 33's and i belive the edlebrock is like a 39 or 40.

aight, ill check 'em out and see what i find. im trying to find it for my buddy. he hates fucking with the duels and i told him id see what i could find :beer:

I think its closer to 600 for the raptor because it comes with a new intake.. I know Duncan racing sells them and I found afew on ebay for 639.00

sorry its been awhile since ive had mine maybe they are more around $600 now that i think about it, not shure how they perform though, i know a few guys over at bluetraxx have them you might check there with the raptor guys.

Duncan claims 5-10% increase in HP and torque... But that just what there claiming could be less.. I think it would be worth it just to get rid of them damn mikuni's.... Man I hate jetting them things.

Does he have the updated tranny on that '01? The transmissions were bad that year for some reason. If not done already, that is a must on an '01.

When I was a mechanic at a yamaha dealer I never seen 01's come through with tranny problems. I heard they were having problems I just never saw it. I did see many problems with the starter clutch gears.

No he actually just bought the bike not to long ago... Second time out the tranny shit out on him.. Second gear :banghead: I told him he should have bought a Banshee :tongue:

 

As for the carbs.. I have heard nothing but bad about them. Have that vacum assist or whatever. Not to mention it looks like a pain in the dick just to jet those things..
