RIPPEN Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 I have a set of black t-5s and a K&N with outterwear.. Iam curious what would be a FAIR price to sell them. The guy seems pretty cool and I know money isn't a big issue with him but the last thing I want to do is screw a fellow rider. The pipes need to be painted and have a few dents and dings but otherwise are sound. The K&N is in decent shape as well as the outterwear. Don't want to look on e-bay for price reference, rather get input from people I can trust. Thanks RIPPEN Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 yeah im think 250-300 too. If you have a pic or two it might help. Quote
Bansh88 Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 Used K&N? $20 Pupes? They're black? How? Dents and stuff? Assuming they're old, do the guy a favor and drop them for $150 shipped. Quote
WALLACE84 Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 If the pipes are in good shape I would sell them for like 275-300 Quote
Animalman294 Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 150-200 shipped seems fair, especially for black pipes that need to be repainted.......... Quote
sheefreak Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 $150 to $200. Had a set of nickel plated FMF's and silencers that had no dings in them just normal shit nickel plate was shot, only got $150 out of em. Quote
RIPPEN Posted June 8, 2006 Author Report Posted June 8, 2006 Guy looked at them and said they looked good Agreed on 275 since MOST said 250-300. Damn good guy and he felt that was fair.. I love it when both parties feel good about a transaction.. Thanks for all your input guys RIPPEN Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 I just sold some chrone toomeys for $420 shipped, then I sold my K&N pod air filters and outerwears for $80. Fair No, rewarding, YES. Fair for what you have would be about $250 what you could get would be about $315. Quote
Bansh88 Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 I sell shit to get rid of it. If I feel anything is WORTH something I keep it. Quote
Animalman294 Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 It's worth what someone will pay you for it. The person buying the item needs to do their homework and find out what it is worth before they plunk money down.......... Quote
ellison445 Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Couldnt of said it better It's worth what someone will pay you for it. The person buying the item needs to do their homework and find out what it is worth before they plunk money down.......... Quote

The person buying the item needs to do their homework and find out what it is worth before they plunk money down.......... I agree with that to a POINT... I do what I can to help people out where I can. I always try to do whats fair without screwin myself. Passing on knowledge(what little I have ) and helping guys go a little faster is rewarding to me. However I do agree that a buyer should do their research and protect themselvs from gettin the shaft... RIPPEN Quote
