MinEsFasteR79 Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 I just rebuilt my banshee (looks totally different from the pic in my sig. just so you know. haha.) and she started right up..but I was wondering how all you guys check your compression? this probably sounds like a really elementary question. but..I gotta know. cause I don't want problems down the trail. streetshee Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 I think you just take the plug out and screw the tester in the entire way, turn off key, open throttle the whole way and kick it til you get the higest reading. a cheap tester may be completely off! the propper way is to hold the throttle "wide open" at the same time as u kick it,that way u get a correct reading.seeya. Dead Op Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 You can pick up a good tester for 25-35 bones Quote

dawarriorman Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 (edited) You can pick up a good tester for 25-35 bones I doubt a 25-30 dollar tester is going to be anywhere near accurate. The one I have cost about $90, and its not top dollar either. Heres what you need: http://buy1.snapon.com/products/diagnostic...03A&dir=catalog Edited June 4, 2006 by dawarriorman Quote
ssanddemon Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Make sure to use the adapter with the deep threads just like the spark plug has. The shorter one will give a low reading. Quote
