mine did the same thing and it was the gap between the flywheel and the pickup.

My banshee had the stator timing plate come loose. It spun it all the way counter clock wise and redarded the timing to -10 deg. It ran like crap as well. You might check that.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I will check the timing plate today, I have a feeling that might be it.
