sandslinger Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 i siezed my 421 cheetah this weekend at sand mtn, nv. it appears that i burned through a small portion of the nikasil plating near one of the ports. i have a 4mil crank and trinitys website says that a 4mil crank will make a 485 cheetah. do i bore out to a 485 or repair the nikasil in the one cylinder since it only hurt one side? who does nikasil near ca Quote
racer Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 i think LA sleave does nikasil plating, but dont im not 100%. Quote
Ruko Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 The 485 is with a +4 crank and a 73mm bore... I'm not sure if you can just bore it out to 73 and have it re-nikasiled. That would be nice if you could though... I'm sure some of the builders like K&T or FAST would know... or you could sit on hold with Trinity for a coulpe hours Quote
dajogejr Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 I would actually go to CP Industry's website, and contact whoever does their plating. Pretty sure it's millenium... http://www.cpindinc.com/ Quote
lowriderb Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 did you get the cylinders with plating? or bare? if its not too old mellinium may "warranty" the plating if it was their fault.. i think the 485 4mm is with the big cheetah's as well.. Quote
