HELP! screw stripped on kickstarter

The screw is stripped on the kickstarter, and i dont know what to do to get it out. any ideas without welding a nut onto it?

you might be able to take an air cut off tool , dremel, or maybe a hacksaw and cut a slot in the head of the screw if you are carefull without cutting into the kickstarter, that way you can use a flat blade screwdriver to get it out. The only other thing I can think of would be like you said to weld a nut to the head.

May have to drill it out. Otherwise try and cut a slot like stated above.

I dont know if you can get close enough but sear has these things that go in a drill and it will unscrew stripped screws. Worked great for me anyway.

I got it out! I drilled out the center and tried using a square easy out. I wanted it in as far as i could get it so i used a sledge to pound it it further, but ended up breaking it inside the bolt. so i drilled from the other side, and got the broken parts to come out. i tried another easy out, without using a sledge this time, and it came right out! I was fearing the worst, but now it doesnt rattle anymore! thanks for the help guys!

an easy out will never hold up to a hammer. the steel is too hard/brittle for that type of use. hence they break clean and dont bend.
