What do you guys think? If you cut the twist tube down to about 2". use a partial twist grip and throttle grip. Do you think that would give you enough grip on the bars to hang on and get off the throttle when you need too? And also get rid of the thumb throttle that feels like it has someone pushing it back at you :shrugani: .

your saying make the grip shorter..right? I dont understand the point behind that unless you have very small hands I guess.

You toss the thumb throttle in the trash when you install a twist anyway so I dont get it??

1/4 turn is the rotation.......I'm talking about actually cutting the tube down to about 2".

Maybe it's not called a quarter throttle. It's what we've called them around here. I think the only thing you have to watch for is make sure you have enough space between the grip on the bar and the grip on the throttle. If there isn't enough space they could rub and cause the throttle to stick.

i think i see what youre talking about. dunno why youd want to do this though...a regular twist throttle would work better. maybe this isnt what youre thinking?

I know what you are saying. I feel your jive bro.

Its like the thumb throttle rotates downwards, and is seperate from the rest of the grip.

Think about how some derailers work on mountain bikes. There are the trigger style and the rotate style.

Except this would have spring tention to rotate it back and your thumb would rotate downwards rather than push inwards.

Crazy enough it just might work.

Hey guys thanks for the info. I got the idea from my cousins little electric dirt bike.....thats how it is. I tried the twist...I liked the ease of it, but it scared the shit of me..........may try it next week I'll let you know how it works.....Booth

theyre made by SRAM, and thats exactly my first thoughts. or you could just rotate you thumb throttle 50-90* forward and see how that feels. :shrugani:
