r/atvshee Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 will a blaster rear shock fit on a banshee?......also because i have this works rear shock with a remote rezzie sitting around and wondering if it would fit? Quote
cdwood37 Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 just measure your banshee shock eye to eye and do the same with the blaster shock if they are the same and the thickness of the mounting eye is the same they should interchange. Quote
r/atvshee Posted May 8, 2006 Author Report Posted May 8, 2006 the thickness of the mounting is the same but the blaster is longer than a banshee Quote
cdwood37 Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 how much longer is it, all that will do is raise the ride height of your shee how much longer is it? Quote
r/atvshee Posted May 8, 2006 Author Report Posted May 8, 2006 about 3in longer.......i dont think it would be a big deal because im getting a +6 swinger soon Quote
DIRTMAN350 Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Bolt it up and see how she sits. Post some pics if ya can so we can see what it looks like. Quote
r/atvshee Posted May 8, 2006 Author Report Posted May 8, 2006 will do...once we get it back from the shop Quote
r/atvshee Posted May 8, 2006 Author Report Posted May 8, 2006 hold on.....would i have to worry about the shock collapsing because its made for a blaster's weight not a banshee's Quote
DIRTMAN350 Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 I wouldn't think so. Should hold up fine. Quote
racer Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 that shock still wont fit right with a plus 6 arm. the arm is designed for a factory shock and therefore will have the mounts relocated to the proper position for the shorter shock. even with excessive droop the linkage may bottom out before the shock can be bolted in the mount.
