closing that hole or not

ok so when you put the throttle cable on that holder piece that gets held down by the 2 little screws, it can either cover a hole in your carb or leave it open i closed mine but havent gotten it started yet cause cylinders arent back yet does anyone know if im right or not?

I think that hole MUST be left open. its there so the air can flow somewhere else if the slide is comming down from top to bottem of your carb.

 

well.. that must be BS what im saying now. air could flow into the engine.

Those holes are to vent the slide so it will not create a vacuum in the slide bore when the slide comes down and possibly hold open the slide.So yes leave them open.

mine were closed that explains why one of the slides when retracted stuck open and the other didnt know they open and cloose like no ones bidness thanks bruh
