00tbanshee Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 i just got my shee back together i put new crank bearing and got it bored i am having problems with the left side plug gettting wet with fuel if i let it set and idle for minute or two i changed wires and reeds from side to side and still doing it. my comp. is the same give or take couple of pounds everything is the same on both carbs and i only have 25 pilot so can't go lower there. i noticed the left carb leaks fuel out of the bottom overflow when running it hard and i put new needle and seat in it and it still does it. the tubes on the side are not cluged either so if anyone has any idea what to check next it would be a great help Quote
batoutofshell Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 did you check your float height when you did the needle and seat, could be off filling too much Quote
00tbanshee Posted May 2, 2006 Author Report Posted May 2, 2006 did you check your float height when you did the needle and seat, could be off filling too much 510678[/snapback] yeh i set them and also set them to stop the fuel little earlier and still doing it. but i was thinking that too and i think if it was that it would be leaking out even if it is not running. right or wrong? yyz Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 i am still fighting with mine... reset float heights but noticed the float assembly from the right carb was slightly twisted whereas on that assembly, one of the two floats was higher than the other... so after straightening it, i put that assembly in the left carb, and the left's in the right, now both carbs leak a little from the overflow drain... wtf! but, neither cylinder is leaning and the plugs are both even... fuck if i know... i think i am going to tear them both down, ultrasound the carbs and parts, weigh the floats against each other with a gram scale (to check for saturation), then order new floats if necessary... in the meantime, i am going to borrow carbs from my other bike. 00tbanshee, not sure what to tell you... did you check and clean the choke circuit and did you make sure the choke hose between the two carbs is good? maybe try switching floats left to right to see if the problem follows the float. keep me posted 'k yyz Quote
