pro circuit jetting help

OK all I was at bull gap this past weekend. I have pro circuit pipes, pro flow airbox mod, with k&N filter with outerwear cover, No air lid , proflow water pump. I had 280 mains in it to start with, but those were pretty lean. So i moved up to a 290 on the left side and a 300 on the kick side. No when i have it at wot in like say 3rd gear it sounds like it pops. I dont know if its starving for fuel or if its knocking or what. The plugs stil looked kinda lean but couldnt really tell. because i didnt want to run it if it was poping. The pilots nad needles are stock as far as i know. I ride in northern michigan. Which i think is around 800ft. above sea leve.? Can any one help me out. thanks.

Not to say that I am am expert by any means, I have a stock 02 , fresh top end , P.C. pipes, I put 270 mains in and it cranked right up, but as I made a past down the road it bogged at half to full throttle , I took off air box lid off and it runs like a bat out of hell, have not done a plug chop yet, but I will bet it is not far off, I live about a 100 feet above sea level, if that is any help, let me know what you end up with ! Why did you put a bigger jet in one side?

 

My mods are listed in my sig and my mains are 320's.

Try a 310 main on BOTH sides and put clip in 4th position on the needle.

was running 270 when I made a trip up there from N.W.Indiana had to go to 300 and it stopped bogging at WOT
