have they changed much over the years.. i bought a 90 shee with t5's that the guy bought new when he bought the bike from the dealer... should i get new ones?

If they look good and it runs good I wouldn't change them. T5's are good pipes.

yea i just took them off and sanded them down bc the guy panted them and they look better all sanded down

That is what I run and they are awsome pipes. I don't think they ever changed the pipes design and when they did they made the T-6's. I think if it is working why change it unless they can improve on the style of pipe for more performance.

They're made of steel so if you sanded them and you don't put something on em for protection they'll rust. If they don't have any dents you might consider getting them re-chromed.

Dents affect performance. So if they're prettty dented then its prolly worth getting a new set.

thats what i was thinking but i dunno if i want to get another set of t5's bc i want to trail ride alot and i need sparkys and so i dunno what pipes to get...

I think they make little "sparkys" that actually fit in the end of the toomey silencers. pro circuit makes a pipe that performs very close to the T5 as well, and they have different silencers for different requirements.

yea i heard the curcits are nice.. but what silencers should you use...
