just keep it really lubed up and it shoud be easy

Use a drill press. level, and secure the carb on the table of the drill press, lube with wd40 or all purpose oil while drilling and most importantly tapping(3 turns in then back out the tap clean threads, relube etc.) Shave the bosses level, (with a mill file)then take a little more off(just a little) so the idle screw makes good contact with the slide and lifts it up. Follow the directions in the kit carefully, and make all your adjustments after installation(sync the carbs, set the idle) Also after drilling and tapping wash the carbs out and blow em out with compressed air.
