knight_ripper Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 I am jetted to sea level. I just installed the RS timing plate, and Im reading that I should go up one size jet in the main. Now the question. Im racing in NV this weekend. ELEVATION 3400 FT. Should I jet up? Who can read this chart? Quote
knight_ripper Posted April 20, 2006 Author Report Posted April 20, 2006 Im thinking that I shouldnt jet up....because of the elevation. but I need to do a plug chop..to find out if I need to go up at all. But I cant here at home. I live in the city...sux for me. so I gotta take it somewhere to jet her. might as well be there in NV. whatcha think? Quote
biggun6ss Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 The higher the elevation the less fuel you are going to need. If you go from sea level to 3400 ft you will need to jet down. The higher up you go the less air there is so that means you will need less fuel. Quote
Wallrat Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Advanced timing tends to lean it out a little. For the elevation you prolly need to go down 1-2 jet sizes. For the timing, you prolly need to go up 1 size. So I'd leave it where its at for Nv, and do a plug chop. Quote
knight_ripper Posted April 21, 2006 Author Report Posted April 21, 2006 Thanks for the backup Rat..... I was hoping someone would say that. Quote
