i have a diesel parts washer which features a cirulation pump. basically its a grate over a tub of diesel fuel and you clean the dirty parts with a nylon bristle brush while running diesel over them.

i am wondering if diesel fuel would have a negative effect on the oring in an oring chain.

in the yamaha manual it says you can use kerosene to clean the chain. sence kerosene is similar to diesel, i was wondering if this would work without messing up the rubber orings in the chain?

thanks.

Yes u can use diesel to clean your chain and no it will not hurt your o rings.I have 5 diesel tractors and o-rings are used in the fuel systems to help seal fittings. :headbang:
