banshee223 Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 I put my clutch in today and I adjusted at the pressure plate and up on the clutch perch so that it would have play in it. When I got done I drove around the yard and when it was in gear with the clutch pulled in, it still wanted to crep along. I'm not sure if it supposed to do that. The clutch lever has play in it. Is it bad that it does that and if so how do I stop it? Also when I start letting out on the clutch lever it starts grabbing really quick. I barely even let off of the lever. Can some one help me out. Quote
wesw Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 did you push arm on the case to where the arrows line up almost and then hold it there and tighten the screw down. havent a clue without seeing it Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 did u soak the plates b4 hand? Quote
Wallrat Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Instead of lining up the arrows on the top of the case, I always shoot for about 1/16th over. That way you get just a hair more grab. Quote
fastbanshee4u Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Adjust your cable at the clucth perch 80% in, then adjust the clutch shaft screw till it gets the slack out. Quote
banshee223 Posted March 27, 2006 Author Report Posted March 27, 2006 yea I soaked the plates and the basket is brand new, I don't think I lined up the arrows. It seems like it is grabbing fine just when I have it in gear with the clutch lever pulled in, it still wants to roll a little bit, is this bad? Quote
