I want a pretty hot dune motor that I can still ride in open areas not to much trails just dirt roads and river beds and drag racing kind of all around motor with emphasis on top end. I have heard great things about redline racing, passion F.A.S.T. K&T and many others i don't want an all out drag bike and I don't want a big squable about this motor and that what could each of these companies and any other do for me I want to spend my money very wisely, please advise Quote

wesw Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 heres one train of thought. im sure youll get plenty of offers. my dyno is in my sig. it had stock low end or better, and pulled clear to the top. it was done by jim @ passions. very usable power. there are many builders to choose from, im not knocking any of them. you might find one by where you live to you can deal with them and what not. basically call each or everyone you want to deal with, including the ones you mentioned and talk to them. ask them ?. tell them what or how you want the motor to respond. and you will have to read thru the bs. lot of smoke can be blown up someones ass. remember your the customer, get what you want. some times ones motor might be more or ones cheaper, you just have to deside what you want. and how long you might have to wait for it. lot of builder are back logged over a month lately you can do a search on most of the builders you want. and get phone numbers for them. hope it works out for you. odaen Posted March 25, 2006 Report Posted March 25, 2006 Myself, I'd tend to favor a local guy. The difference between a good running motor and a sweet running motor quite often can be some tuning here and there. Every motor is different and has their own unique personality to some degree, so getting it on a dyno with your builder is a huge asset. I've seen on here, where someone will get a set of cylinders and fight and fight with it, and pawn them off, only to have the next person be tickled with the performance. FasterThanU90 Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 ur on the same page as me i guess he was sayin that people that made orders waited a while to ship them and they all kinda arrived around the same time but yah he definently should make sure that hes making the time for himself and slow down on orders becuase he IS the popualar builder right now 3 4 months is a while for a customer to wait and i shipped and payed very promptly b4 any work was done he kinda swamped himself but whatever theres nothin really i can do about it right now, i mean i would deff. drive my ass all the way out there if it really came down to it but thats alot of money on my part he said he just needed to get through the Hq ride and would finish it up so ill give him that. bansheefreak Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 i find it odd you have to wait 4 months and ppl that had there stuff sent after you got theres back already... yyet you are on hold cus he is out riding... i wouldnt pay all in advace... i would only pay half and when they get done they can have rest maybe this way it will speed it up.. bunch of shit some ppl get there shit pushed ahead in line cus they think there somebody but others that just wanna ride have to wait... He needs a Secretary or sumthin keep that shyt organized Quote
