Hey everyone, im going out riding for probably almost all day tomorrow, and i was wondering what the length is on the stock tank...im guessing around 2 hours..also depends on how hard you are on the throttle, but just a general idea, thanks

yeah, 2 to 3 hours.....

If your running with a bunch of 4 strokes go grab a little 2 gallon gas can and strap it to your back with a back pack (get a back pack with a waist clip) and you'll be able to run just as long as they will.

Every time you stop, lighten your load.

I'm going to try and get awhole bunch of pics, so ill post them up tomorrow night hopefully :headbang:

becarfull with that spare fuel tank. My buddy strapped one to his 250R once, and while playing in the sand, it ruptured and got gas in his eyes. At the end of the day he didn't even need to bring it. Just a heads up.

Yea i think i would be around 2, 2 1/2 hours if i didnt fill up, every stop usually at a friends place, i filled up so im not sure how long i can go. I was going to carry it in a backpack but instead my friend with a utulity quad took it, had a toolbox on the back so he carried it in there.

I want to eventually get a single carb for the low end, and for the fuel mileage

single carb wont give you any better fuel mileage, and personally I dont feel it'd help that much on the low end, a tuned engine is a tuned engine, regardless.

Only thing I see a single carb doing is making it easier and faster to change jetting.

ive also got proof. 400 stroker i built a yr ago would suck the gas tank dry in 2-3 hrs and would only pull 3rd gear on pavement. with the single carb, would run about 4-5 hr til RES and would pull 4th easy. im not saying that "." doesnt know what hes talking about, just what i exp.

So switching to a single carb not only gave you more power, but better gas mileage as well?

And I couldn't ride that long when I was bone stock.

If you're riding all out, don't count on more than a couple of hours. Now taking it easy and just cruising, well maybe, but really, who does that with a banshee.

I don't care that my banshee isnt good on gas, i just wanted to know cause we hadnt decided where we where going to go yet, so i just wanted a general idea :cheers:

it was more low end then anything and ya, the gas mileage did go up alot suprisingly. once i get the cash, i plan on going the same route. all ill have to do is get the crank and pistons and ill be set :headbang: but for now, im waiting on my new sleeves and front tires (here wed. hopefully  ). then the cyl r on their way to rocketboy for port and polish :bolt:

You sure you werent running rich? I'm just saying in thought process, fuel/air mixture is fuel/air mixture, no matter where it comes from. A properly tuned engine is a properly tuned engine which is basically getting the fuel/air mixture correct. It should run the same either way, only thing I can see varying is an aftermarket intake as the variable dispersing the air/fuel differently

Not trying to point fingers or anything, just using thought processes.
