banshee122386 Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 (edited) Hey, I have a 1996 yamaha banshee and We just had the engine rebuilt and to do so I took the engine off and thus removed the clutch calbe. Now since I have put the cable back on my clutch has been really hard to pull.........any suggestions? How do you lube the clutch cable? Edited March 22, 2006 by banshee122386 Quote
blueshee03 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 what kind of springs were used in the clutch?if they put stiffer springs in that will do it Quote
crazywheelerman365 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) Lube , Lube , Lube ! Or just get a new one there pretty cheap . Just be sure to lube that one If they did rebuild the clutch too , than yea stiffer springs could do it, you can alternate the springs , 3 stock , 3 stiff... Dinner Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) Also make sure you have the cable running smoothly down through the frame, etc to the clutch, when i re-built my banshee i did the same, but then relized i had put the cable to much on an angle so i fixed it Edited March 22, 2006 by Dinner Quote
scotts96fast Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 yep heavy springs in the clutch, a crappy cable and/or the way the cable is routed....All I can think of...if heavy springs is the problem, get a ezay pull clutch lever that helps alot also... Quote
Banshee_Guy Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Its amazing what a dirty cable can feel like! Quote
