What does being a Premium Member have to do with it?  Anyone can pay their $30 a year and become one.  If someone wanted to come on here a screw a bunch of people they would get their $30 back in one sale.  Then the rest is all profit.  I personally would not benefit from the premium membership for what I do on here, does that mean I'm gonna rip you off if you buy something??

 

I agree with the fact that we need to figure out how to weed out the trash, but I don't think the membership will help any.

The only semi fool proof way to eliminate these transactions is to use like a trust account. Set up an account through the BHQ with like an escro as an insurance if the transaction is bad. Then the bad sales would have to be reviewed on a case by case bases for the refund. This would probably be way too much hastle and not too many people would want to do this. Otherwise, there will always be a risk. People also need to use some common sense when dealing with new comers. Some regs may burn someone but they will get burned back.

good idea also, but not foolproof . i got beat for an rz 350 trans from canada.the guy sent me an empty box.i reversed it on paypal. he proved he shipped a box. double reversal.paypal said i had to pay the money back. thats why i don t use paypal.

Thats fucked up. Thats really really not cool. I don't even think a USPS money order could protect you with an out of country purchase though. I don't know if INTERPOL would bother going after them.

I got burned here recently and now I'm much more selective on who i deal with.

Lil'shyster(frocash) used to live on the HQ and then vanished.Sucks i took the hit

but it prevented someone else getting the shaft by the same clown.

One decent security measure is to get a home phone # and cell.Then call both.

Then again,there's loopholes in that too.
