I have T-6's,Force 3, Noss head 19cc domes, +3 adv time, chopped out air/box w/ Pro design Plate with K&N filter...

I'm really not to proud of the T-6's, have to REV the HELL before shifting to 6th gear to pull on the flat's @ the Dune's... banghead

Did a top end plug check, look's great with just a light brown at the base plug's, same color when running w/ stock pipe's and they didn't stumble from fifth to sixth like the T-6's... :(

I'm going to get my Cyl's ported by Passion Racing Engine's (Strong 12 port MX stock :yank: ) :headbang: , I feel that I'm going to hate the T-6 even more...

So what I'm wondering is what would be the Best all around pipe's for the Dune's...

Also going to be adding 33mm PWK's, +4 adv, and other small odd's and end's part's...

I'm not sure if the CPI are what I'm looking for power, for I think they are mid to good top end, while the Sheers are mostly strong top end...

Hrmmm...

You say you want good pipes for dune riding, but you want an MX port. So I'm not sure what you want exactly.

Do you want a good dune port job and good dune pipes for making mid-top end power? CPI is a good choice...

However...

It sounds like you want a "mild" port with a set of good all-around pipes. Good choices are T-5's, PT Midrange, and my suggestion, Trinity Stainless Steel. Trinity is high on the bling factor and responds well to porting. Ask RNBrad how he likes them.

ask jim what he would recommend.

and i would be ebaying those t6 soon, make sure you pull them off the bike when you sell them. you get more money for what ever reason by doing that, ask bansheefreak.

cpi probably would be a good pipe to let it breath. shearers might be too much for mx ing

i know blue duece is running pro circuits, might be an option

We have had great luck with the T6s and our dune/play ports and our guys are beatin up on other ported Banshees with CPIs and other pipes. Great all around power! Might ask Passion if he can port it for those pipes so you dont have to spend another $500 on pipes! :( Sure it will run harder with some CPIs or Shearers but can also run very well all around if ported correctly for T6s. Hope this make sense.

i have ported shes for t6 pipes and i know what they like ,they can run good on a ported she no doubt, but yo u must consider what you plan to do with this bike , my 2 cents is if your planning to ride trails and play race you should keep them and i know Jim and i know he wil l surely make them perform with his port if yo u talk to him about your goals and type of riding . now that being said if your looking for more of a dune high reving racing type powerband no matter who ports it it wil never be at its true potential to hit the high notes and youl l probably always be down on possible power ,so if duning/play drag is your thing ,sell em on Ebay and get some shearer inframes or T5 ,regardless be sure you advise jim what yo uplan to do before he ports it cause the durations are vastly differnt fro m one pipe to another, especially T6 toomeys . good luck and im sure youll be happy

Yea I'd talked to Jim from Passion about 3 week's ago, he said that the CPI's would be a good choice for the (strong 12 port MX) porting... :D

I'm not sure what type of low end power I would get with the CPI's, or using a different set of pipe's... I know that the Shee's weakest link on power is low end performance... :(

Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that the T-6's are over rated for being good for a stock ported Shee...

I wished that I'd bought the T-5's instead, or maybe I should have got the Paul Turner Mid's... but it's to late for second guessing... banghead

Maybe I should go with CPI's... Jim did recommend them and quit second guessing his set-up's, for Jim has been doing 2-:yank: for over 30 year's... Vs my 20 year's of riding Quad's... :headbang:

jim recommended shearers for me. sure as shit they made the most hp and hit a lot harder than the rockets i had.

my suggestion listen to what he says or recommends.

also there is guy from nevada with a dune porting from jim. he is using dmc 916 cant think of his name off my head. 500#12 i think. might do some searching and ask him.

916 are wicked pipes for a play bike. imo i forgot to mention them earlier

are you running a plate or key? if a key is it possible you're retarded 3 degrees, I love my t-6s before and after porting. never had the problem your talking about. :bolt:

I have never had the problem either......My bike runs great...at glamis I ran 6th gear easy.....ran real hard....check the sig for my mods.... :bolt: D..

I have T6's too, Mine run great. I don't have any dunes here, but I run 15-41 gears on fire roads, and where ever else I happen to end up, and I have no problems with mine  What jetting are you running?

T6's should be fine, but for MX/Dune I would think Fattys would be better (more mid range power). Quality of T6's finish is better though.

I would keep your T6's untill a deal comes up or someone wants to trade you.

With my stock 12-port (not MX style which Im guessing is smaller exhaust port?) I like s 14 tooth up front for the sand, then again I loved a 13 tooth with just pipes and filter. I also reduced a tooth on the rear and it is about perfect for screwing around now.
