jeepman137 Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 (edited) my first truck was a 1989 GMC s-15, the s-10 clone, it was the extended cab version, so i could fit me and 3 other friends (1 in the passenger seat, 2 squashed in the back) and i could fit both a 250 and 125 dirtbike in the back no problem. i didnt have a bedliner so it saved a tiny bit of space. im sure you could fit your banshee in the back, just have to get the front wheels over the wheel wells, or you could buy a trailer and use that, thats what i do now that i have my cherokee... iceman Posted February 25, 2006 Author Report Posted February 25, 2006 thats what i was thinking. an s10 or a sonoma or something like that. i just wanted to see if anyone knew what problems the smaller trucks had or which ones were best for offroading stock and things like that. i know tacomas have beefy ass axles stock. im trying to decide whether or not i want something lifted that i can take off roading or something lower to the ground and bling bling. thats how my truck was and the ladies liked it. i dunno if theyd feel the same about a truck with mud and scratches all over it. chris642 Posted February 25, 2006 Report Posted February 25, 2006 ever look at the toyota tacoma or pickup? Hopefully in a month or so ill be buying a tacoma, they are pretty pricey though so you might be better off with a older pickup. You can probally get one with 100,000 miles and in good shape for 4 grand, a tacoma your looking from 8-10 grand easily with that mileage, maybe even more!! Quote
Chemical Castration Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 My cousin had an '89 toyota with a lil 2200re engine. That little fucker had power and was fun to drive. The bed was big enough to fit his trx 250r. He ended up selling it because he bought a bigger truck. To this day he regrets selling that truck... Quote
Jughead Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Dodge Dakota. I can't complain my 90 3.9 is getting ready to Click over on 300,000 and has never had anything major done to it. A friend of mine Brought a Motorcycle down to me from Pennsylvania. When he pulled into the Driveway he had 2 Bikes in the Bed (Kawasaki H1 and H2) and was Pulling a 3 Bike Trailer with my 68 Suzi T500,a 73 GT550 and another Kawasaki H2. This is No Shit it only had the 2.5.He traveled over 500 Miles with the Hitch Dragging Routes in the Pavement. When he Pulled in His Clutch was Smoking.Right now it's still going with over 275,000 Miles. Ls7colorado Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 (edited) id go with a older (88-95 TBI or 96-98 will be vortec) chevy/GMC 1500 ext cab, they are very cheap, easy to work on, more power than any other 1/2 ton in its time, and look good too. Oh yea they also get way better fuel mileage than ford and dodge. Edited February 26, 2006 by Ls7colorado Quote
