suzuki0702 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 i wanna shine my shit up real nice... i want it to look brand new all mirror like and shit...do they need to be re-chromed or can i polish em? how would i go about doing that? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 That all depends on what kind of shape they're in now...do you have a pic of how bad they are? I know that you can use SOS pads to get a lot of the crud off the pipes and it won't harm the chrome at all. Quote
greg_banshee Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 i agree ! SOS pads and get some Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish (PASTE) and a pack of MICRO FIBER Polish cloths = the best cloths i ever used to polish & THEY WORK, polish with one Fiber Cloth then use a clean one to finish it mine turned out asmazing. greg_banshee Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 ya i'd get them dipped man there not in the roughest shape but ya there rough but that happens Quote
suzuki0702 Posted February 21, 2006 Author Report Posted February 21, 2006 thought so.....effers..how much u think that'll run me? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 You should definitely be able to get the head pipes done for under 200, but before you do that, I'd still break out some SOS pads and see how clean you can get them. I think the SOS pads would work great on the main body of the pipe, not sure about the part coming off the jugs though. You never know, it's worth a shot, and you might be happy with how they come out....then you could put that 200 toward other engine mods I've cleaned some really nasty shit with SOS pads Quote
suzuki0702 Posted February 21, 2006 Author Report Posted February 21, 2006 200...ouch...ill definatley be putting that towards sumthing else on the bike...probably an axel then some full flgiht a-arms Quote
