banshee223 Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 (edited) I was just wondering what times you think I will run. I'm not really serious in drag racing as you can tell my 2000 shee is set up for flat track, but I was wanting to play at a local sand drag track. It is a 100 yard track. I will be running Skat Trak Extremes 21/12/8 9 paddles. It really not set up but it will just be for fun. So plz don't dog on me for drag racing a flat track quad. Just let me know what you think Edited February 18, 2006 by banshee223 Quote
lowriderb Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 seeing how you have a 4mm and its ported, you should be breaking into the mid to high 4's or so depending on how you launch it and your shifting abillities and stuff that would be what i would expect... Quote
blueshee03 Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 i agree ,mid to upper 4's depending on shifting ability and gearing .don't expect to low of et's at first.the more you run the drags the better your et's will get. Quote
23champ Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Hes gonna be hookin like a bitch with those tires...with a stock length swingarm its gonna be damn tough to keep the front end down! Quote
banshee223 Posted February 19, 2006 Author Report Posted February 19, 2006 I'm going to run a wheelie bar and I will probably get a +4 swingarm just for riding around and for the sand drags because all it wants to do with the -3.5 it look up to the sky, me and my dad are going to build a wheelie bar for it, any ideas on how to build it, the swingarm is a honda swingarm Quote
lowriderb Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 4 bars, two that bolt up to some longer pinch bolts on the carrier straps, and two that could bolt up to where the grab bar bolts up to.. usually ran on a track about 6-8 inches off the track, or out in the dunes about 8-10inches to accomodate ruts.. banshee223 Posted February 20, 2006 Author Report Posted February 20, 2006 ok thanks, and what exactly to you mean pinch bolts, the four on the rear of the carrier? I thought about using the holes for where the skid plate bolted to the swingarm on the bottom of the carrier, what do you think? Quote
23champ Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 I assume lowrider is talking about using a honda style round carirer, not the stocker. Quote
banshee tuner Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 4.90 sounds close, post up your time and let us know how you did. Your first few races will not be that great, takes a lot of practice. Quote
