Hollister_Hitman Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 Does anyone have their Banshee setup for Mx or trail riding? If so what do you have on it? Also how much did it cost? Quote
Dead Op Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 Here is a good setup FmF Gnarly pipe, +4 timing, Noss coolhead, hIPER Rims, Elka Shocks, and if you do that go the extra yard with a woods mx port with a set of bigger carbs, Quote
Hollister_Hitman Posted February 18, 2006 Author Report Posted February 18, 2006 I don't think my bike needs more power it needs better handling I am beating losing to some quads in the corners. I need better handling so i can beat people in the corners and out. What do you recomend I buy? Quote
dawarriorman Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 extended a-arms (+2+1) and suspension (TCS) with 4+1 offset rims. Only 2" wider, with much better suspension. Pipes and a MX or GNCC style port. Personally I think the low rpm pipes are a waste. If the powerband is the same width, whats the difference if it comes on at 6k or 8k rpm? This is a 2 stroke, learn how to ride. Quote
Dead Op Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 Better handling? AArms Um also Steering stabalizer. Quote
Banshee~ Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 extended a-arms (+2+1)475397[/snapback] I wouldent get +2's for woods riding. I get stuck all the time with stock axle and a-arms in between trees. But definatly new shocks and steering stabilizer. If you dont have really tights trails you could get away with +1 a-arms. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 you need: 1. +2+1 a-arm set-up 2. new shocks front/rear (elkas, works, peps) 3. steering stabilizer 4. Rims/tires (beadlocks/irazrs) 5. Wider rear axle 6. maybe some new handlebars for more comfort/stability (pro tapers/renthal/tag) If your worried about getting stuck between trees get a bike Quote
Shee-Male Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 I deffinatley recomend the +2 +1's you can also invert your stock rims for more width, you will have to move the valve stem though. Front shocks are a must, and you can have the rear revalved pretty cheap and it works real nice. Wider axel or spacers for the rear is also a good idea. Don't forget about things like nerf bars and a good skid plate for trail riding. Quote
lastlegwarrior Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 I think you need a different cam or you need to sell the shee and get a blaster .....j/k. Sorry i had to put something and everyone else has already mentioned the good stuff. Quote
